Through travelling exhibitions, Gorka Garmendia, heritage expert and ethnographic consultant, will lead the association’s various projects.

The exhibition cycle will, naturally, begin in Abaltzisketa, with the support of the Town Council and under strict safety measures to ensure compliance with maximum capacity limits. The launch dates are not yet known, but it is expected to be before the end of this year.

On this occasion, Garmendia will pay tribute to the women who for centuries mastered the sacred language of nature, shaping our customs.

The origin of the project dates back to 2019, when Garmendia published her first and only novel to date, BA, el equilibrio entre los mundos (BA, the balance between worlds). A short work full of visual symbolism, it saw the light of day in a single edition published by Xibarit Argitletxa and was a bestseller, selling out in record time. The warm reception and repeated requests from the public led the author to join forces with Logikaline in this new adventure that is Hemengoak, a cultural project that, through exclusive exhibitions and performances, seeks to keep alive the knowledge and tradition that surround our villages.
